Ratsabi, Erez
The son of Rachel (Livneh) and Avraham, he was born on July 12, 1964. After his family moved to Holon, Erez studied at the Remez elementary school in his hometown, continued to study at the ORT school, Shapira in Tel Aviv, but left school before completing his studies and went to work as a welder, a profession in which he worked until his induction into the IDF. He did his job to the satisfaction of his superiors. Erez was a friendly, sociable, dedicated son who loved to help anyone who asked for help. During his studies, he used to come to the school during vacations to help teachers and counselors at summer camps, campuses, and more. He was an outstanding athlete and for four years played for Hapoel Holon basketball team. Erez was recruited to the IDF in early May 1982 and assigned to the Border Police. During basic training, the Peace for Galilee War began and Erez was sent to Lebanon. On the 12th of Elul 5742 (September 1, 1982), he fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. He left parents, a brother and a sister.
