Rashkovitz, Yefim (Haim)


Son of Berta and Michael was born in the Soviet Union on October 13, 1937. He immigrated to Israel in 1977 with his family, settled in Givat Savyon near Tel Aviv and worked in his profession. Who immigrated to Israel in September 1979, was drafted to the IDF as a dentist at the General Staff clinic, and in January 1980 he was awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel. On December 5, 1982, he was called up for reserve service, but only served two days. On December 7, 1982, when he was with his family at home, he died of a Lev attack. He was 45 when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Petah Tikva. He left behind a wife, two sons and a brother. After his death he was promoted to lieutenant. The commander of his unit wrote about him in a letter of condolence to his family: “Yefim served in our dental clinic, enjoyed the service very much and the soldiers wanted to receive treatment only with him.” His family was proud of the husband and father,
