Rapoport, Michael (Misha)


Son of Yelena and Ilya. Born in Minsk, Russia on July 25, 1958, where he studied elementary and high school studies, he acquired his profession in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Minsk, where he was a senior electrical engineer and head of the business planning department. Water, foam and fire alarm systems, consulting and training, supervision and testing of these issues Michael performed part of a project that required a non-standard solution, participated in projects in Crimea and wrote plans for them. Michael carried out a project of an automatic fire-extinguishing plant for one of the largest yeast factories in Russia. He then worked in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Industrial Design in Minsk. He worked on planning and controlling various technological processes and performed various drafting work. Michael knew and spoke three languages ​​- Hebrew, English and Russian. In January 1990 the family immigrated to Israel. Michael married Rima and they had a son Alexander. In Israel he passed an electrical course at the Technion and worked in the electronics division of the security company. Michael was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in late February 1992 and served in an ammunition base in the south, where he fell during his duty on 17 March 1992 and was buried forever in the military cemetery in Haifa.
