Raphael, Raphael (“Rafi”)


Son of Netanel and Adina. He was born in 1933 in Jerusalem and completed his studies in elementary school and was drafted into the IDF in August 1951 for the paratroopers. Afterward, he would occasionally go to reserve duty and even before the Six-Day War called to reserve duty and fell in a battle that took place in Abu Tor in Jerusalem on the second day of its battles, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967). He left a wife and three children. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the booklet “One Gray Battalion” his name was immortalized.
