Ramot, Yiftach


Son of Jacob and Leah (Lotte). He was born on February 22, 1943 in Givat Brenner. He graduated from high school there, and his teachers, especially in the higher grades, noted his serious attitude to studies and his ability and interest in them. He tended to literature, and especially to poetry. He would love to wander in the fields, because among them, he says, he would learn a lot. He was frank and open in his thoughts. Was willing to give help to those in need and to serve them as a relief. Everyone had time to work in the cowshed for which he was devoted; To the team of friends whose responsibility and loyalty they have cherished; To the studies in which he had an interest; His parents and the family he loved. He was a member of a delegation of six members of the Gadna to represent the State of Israel, where he spent several weeks, was impressed by his experiences, although the brilliance and abundance he saw did not dazzle him. Of the Negro and Chinese neighborhoods made a deep impression on him and he often pondered on them and their problems.In January 1961, he was drafted into the Israel Air Force, which he had yearned for for years. Became a pilot and reached the rank of lieutenant. Participated in a course of instructors and an outstanding trainee. On the 7th of Tevet 5725 (Dec. 7, 1964) he fell in the course of his duties (along with his friend Zvi Shlomis) and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery at Givat Brenner, where the farm issued a pamphlet in his memory. – Zion where the two sons fell – between Timna and Yotvata.
