Ram, Yehuda (“Yoyo”)


Son of Aryeh and Fania, members of the Geva group. He was born on January 20, 1944, in the group. He finished elementary school in the group. Soon he became an independent child and his ambition was to be at the head of his class, in games, in sports, and in action. He was curious to know everything; But soon realized that he still lacked much knowledge and developed plans for agricultural education and personal training, along with plans for operations in the industry and the agriculture. After graduating from elementary school he studied at Mikveh Israel. He learned there out of the recognition that a group member must be in touch with agriculture and indeed he left there with a great agricultural knowledge and especially a great recognition to continue his studies. After Mikvah-Israel he studied at the Ein-Harod school in the 12th grade, and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement, a symbol of kindness and gentleness, who was never able to refuse anyone. In November 1962 he was drafted into the IDF and was very eager to join the arm, which in his opinion was the most decisive in the struggle, tried his hand at flying, but when he could not keep up This force underwent a major crisis; But he overcame and passed through the end of an officers’ course to the northern border. He clung to the Galilee with great love, studied all its paths and knew every stone and bush on the Syrian and Lebanese borders. He also rose to the rank of lieutenant. Upon completing his service in the army, he returned to the farm and he and his wife created a warm corner that became a source of attraction and meeting for their peers. After his release, he would occasionally go on reserve duty and during the Six-Day War he was on the sixth day of the battles, on the 6th of Sivan 5767 (10.6.1967), he fell in a battle in Jelbina in the Golan Heights from a heroic war.
