Son of Julia and Joseph, was born on 29.8.1957 in Hadera and was an alert and playful child with blond hair and green eyes that attracted the attention of all his readers Meir began to study at Tzafririm Elementary School and continued to study mechanics and mechanics In the professional school “Amal” – both in Hadera – his great loves were the sea and the game of soccer – from his early years he was an excellent athlete, excelled in running and in the framework of the Hapoel Nachaliel soccer team scored many goals Meir completed his studies at the naval boarding school in Haifa, Where he was trained as a naval radar engineer. Meir was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of November 1974 and was stationed as a radar engineer on one of the ships. Afterward he was transferred to A-Tur and served there as deputy commander of Dvor until the end of his service. Meir was a very friendly guy and his friends liked him. His intense love for the sea intensified during his service in A-Tur. When he came home for vacation, he would tell stories about the landscapes he had seen, the great quiet sea, and how he would sit on the beach, listening to the sound of the waves. When he was about to be released, Meir was given a release certificate in which his behavior was described as very good. For his service he was awarded the operational service signal. At the beginning of November 1977 Meir was discharged from regular service and assigned to reserve duty in the Artillery Corps. On the 6th of Tishrei 5744 (October 6, 1984), Sgt.
