Rahal, Mansour
Mansour, son of Aufah and Joseph Rahal, was born in 1962 in the Bedouin village of Porush Romana. In 1982, at the beginning of the Peace for the Galilee War, Mansour volunteered for IDF service and went on a scouts course and served in this position throughout his service in the IDF. Mansour was called to the IDF in the role of a tracker with elite infantry units, and according to his commander Mansour was an excellent, professional, loyal and responsible fighter. He was killed in the battle in Lebanon, searching for terrorists in the rock crevices. Mansour was brought to rest in the civil cemetery at Porush Romana. After his fall, his daughter was born. The Jewish student organization in Rome planted a tree in memory of Mansour in the Keren Kayemet LeYisrael Forest.
