Rachman-Por, Varda

Daughter of Yehudit and Eliahu. Was born on 13 August 1962 in Moshav Beit Nehemia in the Shfela, where she spent most of her young years. Sister to my father, Aviva, Dalia and Michal. Varda attended elementary school and high school “Ort Lod” and completed her studies in the real track. Throughout her childhood and adolescence she used to help her parents – both at home and in the farm – in the chicken coop, in the cowshed, and wherever assistance was needed. In her free time she liked to knit and to create good works in her good hands. Varda joined the Israel Defense Forces at the end of December 1980, where she was sent to the Israel Air Force, where she served as a technical analyst, loved the service and was about to be signed. She continued to serve at the Air Force base in Tzrifin in a position she loved and envisioned, and at the age of twenty-nine, Varda married her son Shimshon, and the two passed To live in the community of Tel Mond in the Sharon Where she lived for a number of years and then returned to Tel Mond Varda was blessed with a loving partner, who gave her love, warmth and pampering, took care of her and gave her everything she wanted, and she managed a calm and quiet life with the family at the top of her mind: She was very caring for her mother-in-law and her mother-in-law, and she went shopping with them, trips and entertainment, even during the difficult periods. Unfortunately, however, the joy did not last; Varda was hospitalized due to severe stomach aches and after a series of tests it turned out that the disease had returned. Varda began a new personal struggle, with her partner and family at her side, supporting and caring. Once again Varda had to undergo difficult treatments during which her condition changed; Sometimes the situation deteriorated and sometimes improved. Varda did not give up and tried to hold on to everything she could; She tried to make the most of her time knowing that this time, apparently, the struggle was lost and now her life was on borrowed time. Varda was a direct, brave, responsible woman who always cared about the most important thing – the family. Family cohesion was a supreme value for her and at every opportunity she visited everyone and brought the family together. Many of her deeds were good and noble, and her husband, who called her “a woman of valor,” described her well. Varda died on February 28, 2002. Thirty-nine years old when she died. She was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Tel Mond. Survived husband, mother and four sisters.
