Rabinowitz, Yaakov (“Yashke”)


Ben Rita and Joseph. He was born on 28.11.1972 in Leningrad in the Soviet Union. He was a cute little boy. From the age of four, he has played chess. Jacob liked to hear stories of wars and heroes and learned to read and read long hours in historical books about wars and adventures. He also loved geography very much and enjoyed standing by the globe and following the journeys of well-known adventurers. At the age of six, he immigrated to Israel with his parents. He graduated with honors from Yamit Elementary School in Kiryat Yam. He was popular with his friends for his knowledge and willingness to help. In seventh grade, Yaakov was accepted to the Reali School in Haifa for the real trend. In 1989, he moved to Kiryat Bialik with his parents, and a year later, when he finished high school, he was admitted to the Technion as a student, but following a request he received, he received a basic knowledge of armaments in various armies and the IDF. The intelligence corps decided to serve first in the IDF and postpone the academic studies. In September 1990, he enlisted in the IDF and he was only seventeen and a half years old, and he was stationed in the Intelligence Corps, and Yaakov was very fond of his friends in the army for his extensive knowledge and unusual thought. 5 Tishrei 5752 (13.9.1991) fell during the performance of his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Survived by his parents and sister – Dana.
