Puterman, Mishka

Son of Yehoshua and Esther. He was born on January 1, 1935, in Poland. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1947. Mishke spent the first five years of his studies in Poland, Russia and Germany, and completed his elementary studies at the Ahava Institute in Haifa, “After completing his studies until his enlistment in the IDF, Mishka worked as a tire repairman, first as an apprentice and later as a professional. Mishka was drafted into the IDF in early November 1952 and assigned to the infantry, and after completing his basic training, he took a course in the half-track driver, a profession that continued his service. Towards the end of his military service, he was called for periods of active reserve duty, and during one of them he completed a transport transport course, after which he worked as a driver, married Tova and established a family in Israel. In the middle of April 1967, Mishka volunteered for the career army and was assigned to the Supply Division, which served as a transport engineer for a non-commissioned officer, and later served as a non-commissioned officer and a non-commissioned officer. He was appointed a heavy truck noncom. His commanders admired him as a decent, independent, loyal and good-willed man, and as a professional who fulfilled his role in faith. During his service, Mishka was awarded the rank of master sergeant, and on Thursday, February 23, 1977, Mishka fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Holon. He left behind a wife and two children – Moshe and Esther. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “… Mishka showed a spirit of volunteerism and concern for all those who needed his services in his place of work.
