Prushk, Michael
Son of Sophia and Fiodor. Born in the Soviet Union on the 9th of Adar, March 11, 1976. In January 1991, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Arad. On September 24, 1996, he joined the IDF and served in the Israel Air Force. After completing compulsory service, he went on to regular service and immediately went to an officer’s course. He completed the course with great success and was assigned by profession to the rank of second level officer at Hatzerim base. In 2008, after extensive medical examinations, Michael was diagnosed with cancer of a rare species. After a year and eight months fighting heroically, with all his might, Michael died of his illness. In his last position, he served as an air supply officer in the 5617 equipment unit. Capt. Michael Prushk fell in the line of duty on the 9th of Nissan, March 24, 2010. He was buried at the military cemetery in Arad, leaving a wife, two sons, parents, and a sister.
