Promovitz, Raz

Son of Miriam and Kalman, was born on Wednesday, 26.8.1979 in Ramat Gan, a child of a sandwich, a brother to Dikla and Oded, who in his infancy was sensitive to milk and was a sickly baby, always wrapped in concern for his health. “Everything in his time.” In the kindergarten he refused to learn to write his name, claiming that he would learn to write in the school, and he had no need to do so before. Raz arrived at the school only when he knew the letters of the alphabet, He was asked to register for the library and began to read books, and at the age of nine his parents bought his first computer and textbooks, and since then he was “connected to the computer.” The Georges began studying at school, Ben-Gurion instead. When he encountered difficulties in absorption, asked: “What have you done to me? I was king … “But with his absorption with the children, he quickly became a” king “in Gan Yavneh, and Raz loved to go to school but did not like to study. He always said, ‘The main thing is the potential.’ “Raz completed his studies at the regional high school in Gedera, and his favorite subject was history, and he thought of continuing to study this subject after his army service. Despite the attempts to persuade him about the physical effort involved in serving in the Golani Brigade, which may be difficult for him, he persisted. In November 1997, Raz enlisted in the Golani Brigade and was assigned to the Signal Company. Basic training and advanced training were difficult, he suffered from very painful stress fractures, but he did not complain. He always had a big smile on his face, and when we were interested in his wellbeing, the answer was “everything is great.” Raz was destined to go to a course for squad commanders and continue with officers’ training, and his dream was to become a company commander in Golani. Raz liked music very much, especially trans music. He would buy his record collection at a certain store in Tel Aviv. The shop knew him and used to call him and inform him of every new shipment that arrived. Raz loved people, from young to old. His strong connection to people can be seen in the poems and reflections he left behind, which were discovered only after his death. On November 16, 1998, at 10:45 am, Raz was critically wounded when a roadside bomb exploded at the Tel-Qana outpost in Lebanon. He was rushed to Rambam Hospital and died of his wounds at 17:35 on the same day, and his organs were donated to a transplant to save the lives of others, and was left behind by his parents, sister Dikla, who also served in the “Golani” And a younger brother, Oded, who was promoted to the rank of sergeant, was brought to rest in the military section of the Gan Yavne cemetery, where he was buried on a central monument in the community. As a student in the twelfth grade: “Every human being and his destiny in life, that is what I read, that is how I learned from above. There is a lot of forest before discovering the true purpose, and I think that despite my young age, I have come to realize my true purpose, perhaps this is part of the misleading events, but It may sound arrogant, but I think my role is to make people happy, to make them happy in different ways, to make people look inside themselves and to rediscover themselves, giving them the smile back, the joy of life. I bring back their self-love and recognition of their inner and outer importance … What happened with her pushed me to this understanding. I felt very wholeWhen I spoke to her and tried not to change her but to make her understand that she had to change herself in order to regain the vital spark that without it was difficult to be perfect. It was very important for me to speak to her even though I had not known her before. I felt a kind of impulse that told me to do it. I’m glad I listened to his voice. It is very important for me now to keep in touch with her to see what is happening with her and to see, with God’s help, how the smile returns to her beautiful face, to see how her self-acceptance bursts out. That’s all I have to say for now. I am happy about my destiny and I am proud to say without fear that I have found the guidance, myself and path of my life. How does a person know if his mission on earth is complete? If he’s alive – it’s not. “
