Posen, Dr. Shmuel

Son of Amalia and Shlomo. Born in 1880 in Munich-Geldebach, Germany, he was a lawyer by profession and served as chairman of the community committee in his city in 1939. He immigrated to Palestine and settled in Haifa. Was a member of the Hagana. On the 17th of Shvat (6.2.1939), two weeks after his immigration to Israel, he was killed in Haifa by shots fired at him by Arabs. He was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. He left behind a wife.
