Porat (Portman), Asher
Son of Avraham and Esther. Born on 28.11.1935 in Herzliya, his parents were among its founders, after graduating from high school in Ra’anana, and then moved to the “New High School” in Tel Aviv and studied diligently and diligently. He also devoted most of his time to various hobbies, such as beekeeping and the construction of wireless devices, after which he devoted himself to his high school studies, especially to the real professions. He was pleasant, quiet and confident by nature, a loving and devoted son to his parents and loyal to any role. Whenever he was free, he loved to help his parents. He was drafted into the IDF in October 1953. He took a course in commanding officers, but he did not stop fighting for the air force, because he always aspired to be a pilot. After a written and oral request to various locations in order to arrive at an aviation course and after nine months of service was transferred to the air force. When he was accepted as a combat pilot and after wearing the flying wings, he did not sever his ties with his friends, parents and family. In the course of his duties on the 19th of Tammuz 5716 (June 19, 1956), he fell and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Herzliya, after which he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
