Pomeranitz, Israel

Son of Haim and Rachel. He was born on November 14, 1932, in the city of Makov-Mazowiecki, Poland. Graduated from elementary school. Immigrated to Israel in 1948. He was involved in mechanical repair. Until his enlistment in the IDF he studied at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa in evening classes, was a music lover was drafted into the IDF in November 1950 and served in the Israel Air Force. He took part in the choir’s orchestra and became a camp entertainer in singing, singing and playing the accordion. He was kind and comfortable to all his friends and commanders. On the 26th of Av 5761 (26.8.1951) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
