Uri, son of Dvora and Zelig Pollack, was born on July 6, 1930 in Jerusalem. Uri joined the army in March 1948, served in the Jerusalem Brigade and fell on guard duty at the gate of the Schneller camp headquarters in Jerusalem on May 16, 1948, during the shelling of the city. He was buried in Sanhedria. On September 19, 1951, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
