Polikman, Shlomo (Shloimele)


Ben Malka-Amalia and Abraham-Abba Polikman, Shlomo was born on April 27, 1925, in Romania and he immigrated to Israel on June 12, 1939. On December 15, 1947, he enlisted in the service of the nation and was sent to the Galilee. On March 21, 1948, he traveled in armored vehicles on the road between Rosh Pina and besieged Safed. The armored vehicle went over an electric mine planted by the enemy and he was killed with his friends. He was buried in the pits. On the 27th of Elul 5709 (21.9.1949) he was put to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
