Plumman (Sommer), Yitzhak


Yitzhak (Itzik), son of Sarah and Chaim, a Holocaust survivor, was born on February 5, 1946 in Lodz, Poland and he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1952. In the Yom Kippur War, Yitzhak participated in the battles of containment and break-ins against the Egyptians on the Sinai front, and on October 24, 1973, he was hit by a paratroop unit that was sent to rescue paratroopers who found themselves in the outskirts of the city of Suez. He was brought to rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind a wife, parents, brother and sister.
