Pless, David (“Dudi”)

The only son and nephew of Tibor and Gitel. Born on 19.7.1949 in Nahariya and studied at the Katznelson School in Nahariya, including two years of high school. He studied at the Wingate Institute in individual courses. He loved his old and sickly parents, and they had great relief and great care, and he was loved by his many friends and they were always Simcha to be with him, and David loved to listen to music, but his main hobby was playing and especially drumming. He was drafted into the IDF in early May 1968 and volunteered to serve in the air force. When he completed his regular service he volunteered to serve for one year in the regular army. During his service he reached the rank of sergeant. After completing this year, he volunteered for another three years, but did not get to the end. On 20 March 1972, he died at the military cemetery in Nahariya, where the commander of the base he served sent a condolence letter to the family: “David was not a regular soldier at the base; He was a special figure, who always had an atmosphere of joy and cheerfulness around her. His dedication to work knew no bounds and he did everything he could. His loyalty to his commanders was limitless. With the death of David, a crane from the Air Force Technical School was taken away, a figure that will not be forgotten soon. “
