Yosef (Yossi), son of Sonya and Shalom, was born on the 24th of Tevet 5709 (24.1.1949) in Tiberias. He attended elementary school in Tiberias and at the agricultural school in Pardes Hanna. Afterward, he continued his studies at the Galilee High School in Tiberias, where he finished 11th grade in the real-world track and took external matriculation exams, and Yossi was a good-hearted boy since his childhood. He was a sports enthusiast, mainly a soccer player, was a soccer referee and was a member of the soccer judges’ organization, and at an early age he served as a judge. Soccer in youth leagues and after that he was also judged in league C. Yosef was drafted into the IDF in early August 1967 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade, where he was assigned to a Paratroopers Brigade, and during his service he participated in operational activities in Gaza and the Mardafim in the Jordan Valley. After his discharge, he volunteered for reserve duty in the Paratroopers Brigade, and after six years he was sent to reserve duty in the Tel Aviv area, but his love for agriculture and the view of the Sea of ​​Galilee increased and he returned to the tower. He renovated the neglected buildings, which they had not lived in for a long time, and prepared to build his life there A has become the “household Fiksmn” on the shores of the Sea of ​​Galilee, meetings and entertainment center for different IDF units and their families. According to his friend, anyone could talk and talk seriously about his affairs and he was interested in everyone. At the beginning of September 1973 he spent two weeks on a trip abroad. Yossi volunteered to go on a tour and on the 16th of Tishrei 5734 (16.10.1973), in the battle on the “Tartar” axis in the South of the “Chinese farm”, his half-track was hit directly by enemy fire and Yossi was killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tiberias. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant. His family commemorated Yossi in the agriculture on the shores of Lake Kinneret, which he loved so much, by basalt stone from the Golan Heights; The D State School in Tiberias, where he studied, established a memorial plaque in which his name and the names of other students who fell during the war were engraved.
