Roni, son of Esther and Avraham, was born on December 27, 1949, in Hadera, where he studied at the Ahad Ha’am elementary school in Hadera, continued to study for three years in a high school in the city, He was a social activist, a member of various committees of the institution, and a general organizer, and his teachers loved him and admired him. Soccer and basketball, and practiced regularly, and when he was in high school, he was a member of Maccabi Hadera, and even taught younger students. Ronnie was a pleasant boy, full of joy, lively and playful, but tender and kind, and he had a sensitive Lev and a great understanding for others, and from his youth he excelled in human love and warm affection for animals. He was a good friend, loyal and generous, and his family was a caring and considerate son, and Roni was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1968. He asked to be a pilot and when he did not succeed, he volunteered for the Armored Corps. After completing basic training he served as a commander of the tank division and during the War of Attrition he served for about a year in the Canal area His commanding officer was a courageous, dedicated, honest and decent officer, and during his entire army service he maintained close contact with the house and wrote to his parents at every opportunity to prevent them from taking care of his safety. Roni from the regular service with the rank of lieutenant and immediately afterwards went to the Netherlands to study Where he studied at the Israeli Embassy and asked to fly to Israel, and the next day he was told to fly to London and from there to Israel, where he borrowed money and flew to Israel at his own expense. When he arrived in Israel he was attached to a regiment of Israelis who returned from abroad and were sent to fight on the northern front. He participated in the battles in the Golan Heights, and in the battle that took place on the 12th of Tishrei 5734 (October 12, 1973) near the village of Nesej, his APC was hit directly and he was killed and brought to eternal rest in the Hadera cemetery.
