Pinczewski, Zvi (“Redhead”)


Son of Moshe Leib and Friedel. Born on 16.5.1937 in the city of Gostynin, Poland, he immigrated to Israel, completed his studies in elementary school, was a member of Maccabi North and was a great player in table tennis and won numerous medals and trophies He was drafted into the IDF in May 1955, and when he was in service, he participated in table tennis competitions and his team (Central Command team) won the cup and the title of IDF Champion. His profession was electrical and mechanical. On the 4 th of Tammuz 5707 (3.7.1956), a few days after being wounded in the line of duty, he died of his wounds at the hospital and was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. His name was immortalized by the introduction of a holy bookcase donated by his father to the Sinai synagogue in Tel Aviv.
