Pinchas, Nissim


Son of Rachel and Meir, was born on May 17, 1955 in Rehovot. In August 1973 Nissim joined the IDF and served in the Golani Brigade, where he underwent basic training, during which the Yom Kippur War broke out, Nissim participated in the war in the Golan Heights, and at the end of the war his unit was stationed at Mount Hermon. In July 1974 he rose to the rank of Corporal, and a year later he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. After being released from compulsory service, Nissim worked briefly as a medic at the Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot. On 1 Shvat, 6.1.1981, he fell, and Nissim was buried at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem and left behind his parents, two brothers and a sister.
