Pinchas, Avraham


Son of Shoshana and Nissim was born in Petach Tikva on February 5, 1927. Avraham fought in many battles against the Egyptian invaders, and once when he went at night to fix a broken telephone line, he noticed a large group of Egyptians approaching our positions. He hurried back to announce their arrival and thus thwarted the plot of attackers, most of whom were injured. During the period of the truce, Avraham was supposed to take part in the march of 20 Tammuz, but was ordered to return to his base and fell in battle in the attack on Iraq al-Manshiyya on the 20th of Tamuz, July 27, 1948. He left a pregnant wife and his daughter was born after his death. On the 17th of Kislav, 8.12.1949, he was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
