Pinchas, Abraham


Avraham, son of Sarah and Benjamin Pinchas, was born on 15.6.1927 in Jerusalem. When Avraham was 15, he joined the Haganah, brought in many friends and worked with great dedication. He was kindhearted and had many friends. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, about the partition of the country into two states, Avraham excelled in the defense of his neighborhood, which bordered on Jaffa. During a difficult attack, he was sent to Jerusalem, and was among its defenders during the siege. Avraham returned home for a short vacation and then went to Hazor, where he fell on the 23rd of Iyar 5708, June 1, 1948. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat
Yitzhak.
