Son of Ayala and Ze’ev. He was born in Jerusalem on April 17, 1931. After completing his studies at the Jerusalem elementary school, he began working in fine mechanics, and at the age of 14 joined the ranks of the Gadna. When the War of Independence broke out, he took up active duty despite the opposition of his parents, who argued against his enlistment because of his youth. He was recruited in April 1948 as a member of the Yehonatan Company, which consisted of armored personnel carriers under the age of 18. He was a soldier in the Yehonatan Company and participated in the battles at the Notre Dame Monastery, Hirbat Hamama (Yad Vashem) And in the course of the fighting, he was wounded in the eye and before he recovered completely, he returned to action, and when the “Jonathan” company was disbanded in August 1948 due to the large number of casualties, he was transferred to Battalion 66, He participated in operational activities in the Ramat Rachel, Talpiot, and Mandelbaum-Sheikh Jarrah areas, where he fell on the 18th of Tevet 5709 (19.1.1949) during a mine leaving operation.
