Perlman, Yoram Moshe (Yuri)


Son of Gideon and Sarah. Born on the 2nd of Elul, August 21, 1944, in Jerusalem. He completed his studies in an elementary school in Jerusalem, and then studied at the “Bialik” Gymnasium in Haifa. He was a member of the Scouts movement, and belonged to the Gadna. He was intelligent, quick, and was aware of what was going on around him. He was faithful to his tasks, eager for the future, with the grace and culture that radiated from him. He collected records, and played the guitar. In August 1963, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces. He dreamed of going into nuclear engineering. In his service, he reached the rank of lieutenant colonel, and held a responsible position. However, before he completed his regular service, he fell on the 6th of Teves, December 28, 1965. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery, in Haifa. After his death, he was promoted to lieutenant. A sports field and a student club were opened in his memory, by the “Ort” school in Haifa (Kiryat Sprinzak)
