Demanded much of himself and less of his friends. Always try to understand the spirit of the other. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, he remained within the borders of Jaffa and Tel Aviv. Later he was sent to the head of a division of the Jordan Valley who had known him since the days of the Nutras and participated in the defense of Degania and other battles. At the beginning of the first truce there were children in the village and served as a fuel officer in the Golani brigade. After a few weeks he was sent to Rosh Pina to serve as the fuel officer of the northern front. He was able to appreciate his responsibility and found satisfaction in his work. He was always in a good mood, and a word of encouragement was always in his mouth. Was loved by his companions and was willing to sacrifice his soul for them. Ze’ev-Emanuel was injured in an accident on the Rosh Pina road as he checked the gasoline inventory in Safed. He was transferred to the hospital and died on September 8, 1948.
