Peretz, Zion

Son of Solika and Mordechai. Zion was born in Israel on the 13th of Cheshvan 5717 (November 13, 1957). He began his studies at Matityahu Elementary School in Moshav Tzalfon. He completed his high school studies at the Mikveh Israel agricultural school. Zion served in the Israel Defense Forces in the Artillery Corps from October 1975 to October 1978. Upon his discharge from the IDF he began to work in the parents’ farm in Tzalfon. In 1980, Zion decided to enlist in the Israel Police. During his service, he underwent a police course, a sergeant course, and an examiners’ course at the police academy in Shfaram, and Zion’s friends told the police that he was loyal to his job. O and he used to visit the field every Sabbath as he sat on the Sabbath, on the day of the 13th of Sivan 5742 (4.6.1982), Zion was killed during his service, leaving parents and six brothers and sisters. He was 25 years old when he was killed. He was buried in Har Herzl, Jerusalem.
