Peretz, Shalom


Son of Esteria and Joseph. He was born on September 15, 1959 in Afula. He began his studies at the elementary school in Moshav Gadish and continued at the Yehuda High School in Afula. During his free time, he was involved in art and helped a lot in farming. At the end of April 1977 he was drafted into the IDF and sent to the Ordnance Corps, where he studied mechanic training at Training Base 20 and was trained as a tank mechanic. Shalom was a well-disciplined, well-disciplined soldier who did his job well and efficiently. On the 17th of Tishrei 5747 (October 19, 1986), he fell in the line of duty and on his way from the base where he served in his home in Afula, he was injured in a road accident. He was buried in the Afula military cemetery and left behind a wife – Miriam, two children – Lior and Adi, parents, five sisters and two brothers – Ilana, Danny, Rachel, Victoria, Miriam, Asher and Orly.
