Peretz, Meir (Ronen)


Son of Dalia and Yosef. Born on 15.3.1969 in Jaffa and studied at the Avigal School. He continued his high school studies at the Tel Aviv Municipal High School in Tel Aviv and was a member of the Scouts movement in Jaffa, where he worked for the general public and worked for a year in Maccabi Healthcare Services. He was conscripted to serve in the IDF in July 1987 and was assigned to serve in the Military Police Corps. During his service he served as a guide for prisoners and reached the rank of corporal Meir fell during his service on 14.7.1988 near Nevatim on the way to Eilat and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Holon, Two sisters and five brothers – Ilana, Sally, Maxim, Benny, Danny, Gabi and Mira In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote about Meir, who was one of the best soldiers in the unit and served in many different positions. He was trained for the job and fulfilled missions to the satisfaction of his commanders, because of his good ability to be assigned a position that required special sensitivity and a correct approach He dedicated his memory to the “Ahavat Yitzchak” Synagogue and a Torah scroll, and two of his nephews were named after him.
