Peretz, Benjamin (“Benny”)

Son of David and Janet. He was born on April 5, 1951 in Rehovot. He studied at the “Tushiyah” elementary school in Kiryat Moshe and at a religious high school in Ashdod. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement in Ashdod and until his induction was a member of a youth group as a soccer player. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1968. On July 26, 1970, he fell in the course of his duties in the Golan Heights and was brought to eternal rest in the Ashdod cemetery, where his commander wrote a letter of condolence to the family, Benjamin was a disciplined soldier and performed every task entrusted to him with loyalty and devotion.
