Son of Michael and Salima. He was born on July 30, 1948 in the city of Kut, on the Tigris River in Iraq. While we were still young, the family immigrated to Israel. Yaakov graduated from elementary school in Tiberias, began high school there, and in 1936, when his family moved to Daughter of-Yam, he studied there in grades 10 and 11 at the Arab High School, Today, because he wanted to come to the aid of the family, who was in poor financial condition and so that he could continue his studies, for which he devoted his evenings, he refused to continue because he did not want to postpone his regular service. In February 1966 he was drafted into the IDF and during his service he prepared for early matriculation examinations in several subjects, successfully completed and planned to finish them in February 1967. He spent his day and night studying and did not cancel his free time, It was given to him that since he was drafted into the IDF, it took about a year, until the day they fell, that is, February 29, 1967; It was during his duty. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
