Peleg, Ran (“Z”)

Son of Zeev and Katy. A descendant of the family of the founding members of Kibbutz Evron, where he was born on the 25th of Marcheshvan 5702 (25.11.1940). He completed his elementary studies and later studied at the Na’aman educational institution. He belonged to the Ha – Shomer ha – Tsa’ir youth movement. He tended to agriculture and to the soil, and he loved the tractor in which he would cut his land. He loved everything because of his good qualities of soul. Was conscripted into the IDF in November 1958, and according to the commander of his unit, in a letter of condolence to his parents after they fell, he was Simcha that he was included among those designated for an officers’ course, because he felt that he was in charge of state security and that he was one of those responsible for him. Two days, on September 23, 1959, he died of his wounds at Tel Hashomer Hospital. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Kibbutz Evron. After they fell, his kibbutz issued a booklet in his name and in his memory.
