Peled, Uzi

Son of Yaakov and Genia, one of the founders of Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek. He was born on Wednesday, 18.1.1945, in the kibbutz, graduating from elementary and high school in the Mishmar HaEmek school, loved to talk about everything he read and even remembered everything he read, whether it was a book in archeology or A book about World War II, he was drafted into the IDF in November 1963 and was not easily chosen by the army because it was not a feature of his being. When he was released from the army he was entirely ready to work as a drink in the groves. From time to time he would go to reserve duty, and so was the Six-Day War. In his unit he begged him to be transferred to a reconnaissance unit to which he belonged to the regular service – and his request was given to him. On the second day of the battles of the Six-Day War, he was on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), taking part in a battle held in Ya’abed in Samaria. Despite the hard-shelled terrain, the strong fire and the enemy’s priority in weapons and soldiers, his unit’s mission was to conquer a stronghold. And even though she had these difficulties, his class continued to use its weapons, paralyzed enemy fire, and thus assisted in the conquest of the outpost. While attacking the target, Uzi was hit by enemy fire. He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and later moved to eternal rest in Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek. In the booklet 53 “of them” published by Kibbutz Artzi in memory of his friends were his history. His kibbutz issued a pamphlet in his memory and remembered another of his friends.
