Uri, son of Rivka and Fishel z “l, was born on February 18, 1936 in Tel Aviv, Uri was drafted into the IDF in mid-September 1957 and assigned to the Ordnance Corps. After completing the basic training, he was placed as a mechanic in a unit of the Ordnance Corps. At the end of October 1958 he was released from regular service in the IDF following a deterioration in his mother’s condition, and in 1961 he married his girlfriend and they lived in Daughter of-Yam, where their eldest son, Eshed, was born, and in 1964 the family moved to Haifa. He was the first person in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and later combined his work in graduate studies with hydraulics, and Uri was a lively person who was interested in everything that took place around him. , Because of his special expression, he was always the center of interest in every party His great sense of justice, his warm smile and his great confidence were beloved and familiar among his classmates and his work, and Uri grew up in the field of sports and sports. He studied basketball and cycling, traveled around the country enthusiastically and came to every corner, was interested in various types of science innovations and studied psychology, in addition to engineering studies at the Technion. Uri received work at Mekorot, the Galilee region, in 1969. In 1969 he moved to work in the Water Supply Sector in the North, and many water plants were realized thanks to his great ability. His most recent work was to update the master plans of the water plants in the Lower Galilee, the Hula Valley and the Western Galilee, including their design and guidelines for the design of the new pumping stations, and the expansion of the pumping stations of Ein Aviv, Ayun, Ayelet Hashachar and Rehelim, as well as planning water lines in the Galilee and the Golan Heights. All this time Uri continued his studies. He has prepared a master’s thesis on “Heat transfer to turbulent flow with friction-reducing polymers in a diluted solution”. He decided to prepare his doctoral work on medical engineering at the University of Haifa. When the Yom Kippur War broke out he was not called to enlist, but he took his belongings, separated from his wife, his son From his little daughter and left. He was sent to a unit that fought in Sinai and on 17/10/1973, when he was with his unit near Romney, the area was bombed by the enemy planes and Uri was killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery. He left behind a wife, son, daughter, and mother. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
