Parzik, Eliezer


Son of Hanna and Zvi, was born on May 26, 1930 in the city of Ostrow-Mazowieck, Poland, and studied for several years in a school. During the Second World War after the German occupation of Poland, he was taken with his parents to the ghetto and to the camps. His parents perished and he lasted until he was liberated in 1944 with the advance of the Russian army. He remained in Poland for another year and then on the “Bericha route” to Italy. In March 1945 he boarded the ship Enzo Sereni. Eliezer joined Kibbutz Ein Harod and found his place in work and in the life of the country. At the beginning of the War of Independence, he enlisted in the Palmach, served in the Harel Brigade, underwent training and participated in the battles and operations of his unit, and fell in the Latrun sector on July 15, 1948. A few years after they fell, he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
