Papirovich, Bilha
Daughter of Hanna-Anna and Shmuel was born in 1918. She was 21 when she immigrated to Palestine on the illegal immigrant ship Parita, organized by the Betar movement. In Israel she studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Faculty of Humanities, and during her studies she completed a thesis for Dr. Martin Buber and joined the Haganah in the city. On December 18, 1947, while escorting buses from the city to the university, near Sheikh Jarrah, it was hit by a barrage of shots fired at the convoy from an Arab-driven car. She was critically wounded and died shortly after. She was buried in the cemetery on the Mount of Olives, in Jerusalem
