Son of Kalonymus (Carol) and Sarah. He was born on the 28th of Sivan 5713 (28.5.1953) in Tel Aviv. When he was six, his parents divorced and Gabi was educated by friends in Moshav Beit Yitzhak, where he attended the regional school. He continued his elementary studies at a school in Pardes Hanna. In 1968 he returned to his home in Ra’anana and was accepted to ORT vocational school in Kfar Saba and graduated there in 1971.
