Packer, Ronen


Ben Hannah and Gershon. He was born in Netanya on February 26, 1970. He began his studies at the Shorashim Elementary School in Netanya and continued his electronics studies at Ort Netanya, where he studied electrical engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. In mid-October 1988, Ronen underwent basic training and a battalion commander course in the reserve track, and returned to study for a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. In the middle of July 1992, Ronen was drafted into the army and was assigned to the Ordnance Corps, where he spent two months doing analogy in research and development. The exercise he was doing was done in the best possible way and with a great investment. He was going to finish the course as a model apprentice. On 17.1.1993, Ronen fell in the line of duty and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents, and a sister – Ilanit. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “I met Ronen as a trainee who excelled in his deep understanding, personal discipline, and seriousness throughout his time in the officers’ course. Ronen was a model trainee, who performed exercises in various command positions, and in the last exercise he served as deputy commander of the drill. “
