Son of Zalman (Zoli) and Yehudit. He was born on September 4, 1956 in Kibbutz Barkai. He studied at the elementary school in his kibbutz and completed his high school studies at the educational institution in Mevo’ot Iron. Micha grew up and became a tall and sturdy lad, full of life and joy, involved in the life of the children and youth society, loved by his friends and educators. Ever since he was a young boy, he has been attracted to music and sports. In every event and celebration, he was among the organizers and organizers of the party’s success. Composed songs and composed them, accompanied the music, sang his good spirit to the participants and knew how to sweep them into action. Micha’s talents in both his favorite fields – music and sports – were prominent throughout his short life. He played three instruments: a piano, an accordion and an electric organ. He went to study at the Enzagi conservatory in Tel Aviv and graduated with a high grade, within one year, a three-year study program in organ playing. He was an organizer and member of the Kibbutz Barkai orchestra, which performed for more than a year in Camp 80 and in the surrounding communities. Micha, the solid young man, used to sit for long hours every day and devote himself to playing with great elation and devotion to the world of wonderful sounds. In the field of sports he was among the activists and leaders among the youth of his kibbutz and later among the soldiers in his army unit. He played volleyball and basketball. He trained a group of girls from his kibbutz in the volleyball game and led her from victory to victory. He himself was a member of the volleyball team of the educational institution he studied in and later on played for the Israeli national team, and during his service he played for the volleyball team. His team participated in the Israel Volleyball Championship in 1976. In addition, Micha was also a model work man, and at the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War, Micha, a boy of about 17, was in charge of the water sector, To the army. Micha stunned the older members with knowledge and his knowledge of the water field. Every day the boy became the subject of responsibility for one of the vital sectors of the agriculture. His resourcefulness and workmanship were remarkable. Micha was drafted into the IDF on February 3, 1976 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he successfully completed courses in the ‘Shot’ and ‘Shot’ tanks. Shortly before his fall, he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant and appointed commander of a temporary platoon. On the 28th of Adar II (28.3.1987) Micha fell during his service, and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kibbutz Barkai, leaving behind his parents, one of the founders of the kibbutz, brother and sister. : “I met Micha personally and was deeply impressed by his performance and great energy.
