Ozerz, Abraham (Avi)


Son of Masuda and Shalom. He was born on October 10, 1966 in France and immigrated to Israel in 1973. After completing his first year of studies in Strasbourg, France, he continued to study at the Rashi elementary school in Netanya, He studied at the Bar-Ilan High School in Netanya, specializing in electronics. My father was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early November 1984 and was assigned to the Artillery Corps. On December 9, 1985, in a fire disaster that broke out in his unit, my father fell in line with seven of his friends and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents, five sisters – Louisa, Bertin, Esther, Paula and Lydia, and three brothers – Mordechai, Immanuel and Benjamin. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Your son was a disciplined and professional soldier, loved by his commanders and comrades in arms, always willing to volunteer and help, out of true faith and will. His parents commemorated his memory at the Ohel Moshe and Abraham Synagogue in Kiryat Nordau, Netanya
