Ozeri, Yitzhak (Isaac)
Son of Simcha and Yehuda was born on 29.6.1929 in New York, the United States after his parents had been without children for many years. That same year he immigrated to Israel with his parents. Yitzhak was a member of the Haganah. Several times he received a message from the American consulate that he had to return to the United States because of the security situation in Israel, but he refused to leave the country. Yitzhak joined the army during the War of Independence and served in the Givati Brigade. Participated in battles in the southern region. During the bombing of Be’er Tuvia, he suffered a nervous shock, was transferred to a hospital and died on the 7th of Tishrai, October 10, 1948. He was laid to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
