Ozeri, Nun (Noni)


Son of Turkya and Nachman, was born on the 17th of Shevat, February 1, 1926 in Tel-Aviv. At a young age began to work as a sailor, married and became independent. He was a quiet, friendly fellow, always willing to help. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, Nun joined the Transportation Corps. In the war he excelled courage.
He survived several difficult events, but lost his life in a deadly road accident while in his capacity as a member of Bat Galim, on the 22nd of Shevat 5709 (21 February 1949). The only other one killed in the accident was his brother Sa’adia. He was brought to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery. He left behind a wife, Shoshana.
