Ozeri, Barak Benjamin

Barak, son of Margalit and Eitan Ozeri, was born in 1982 in Tel Hashomer. On December 5, 2002, Barak enlisted in the IDF. He was appointed sergeant of the 1st platoon in the November 04 round, a position he held until he fell in Gush Katif at the end of the summer of 2005. In this role, Barak brought all his abilities as a commander, educator and leader, with experience, maturity and dedication. Barak was killed on 10 September 2005, when he and his soldiers sat in the ruins of the settlement of Sadeh in Gush Katif, just one day before the IDF left the area. He was twenty-three years old when he fell. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by parents, three sisters and four brothers.
