Lucky and complete. He was born on the 2nd of Tevet 5719 (2.1.1959) in Tel Aviv, the eldest son and devoted to his parents. His brother Motki and Gili were later born. Bezalel’s childhood and youth were spent in Kiryat Shalom. He attended the Givat Shalom Elementary School in Tel Aviv and throughout that period was active in the Scouts movement in the neighborhood tribe. Bezalel spent a long time reading books, sometimes reading until the wee hours of the night, drawing interest, knowledge and pleasure from the books. From a young age, Bezalel was known for his gold: at school he kept a painter’s writing in his notebooks and later wrote and painted oil and water. When the time came to go to high school, it was clear that he would register for architecture and the choice was made for Ort Technicom in Givatayim. The studies allowed Bezalel to express his skills and he persisted in them and succeeded. Many of the paintings and works he has painted over the years are pending in his parents’ home. Alongside his perseverance and his activity in the Scouts, Bezalel was an athlete in his soul and his way of life. He made sure to walk regularly to the gym, weightlifting and proper nutrition. In July 1977, Bezalel enlisted in the IDF with all his motivation, and served as a combat soldier and commander in the Golani Brigade, which he admired. After his discharge from the IDF he enlisted in the General Security Service as a security guard, and after his new work Bezalel moved to Jerusalem and lived in a rented apartment with two partners, and despite his intensive work, Bezalel tried to devote time to trips and a faltering beetle, After a year’s work, Bezalel traveled to the United States for a few months’ trip, and returned with countless wonderful experiences and many photographs that documented them, another hobby he acquired: On his return to Israel, Bezalel continued his artistic pursuits: together with the Jerusalem artist Kalman My name, which was at the beginning of his career, was created by the two In addition to this, Bezalel felt that he had exhausted himself and that his time had come to “settle down.” At the age of 26, he began his academic studies in the Middle Eastern track, and Arabic became his favorite language. His wife, Anat, met Bezalel in the service, and they married in May 1988 and set up their home in Kfar Sava, a city that Bezalel loved so much for its green and calm terrain. Talents are like her father, in her love of painting. In August 1994, their second daughter Maya was born. Bezalel, in his unique way, managed to combine family life with career and professional aspirations. With patience and infinite love he sat with his daughters to play, to paint and to teach. Throughout his years of service, Bezalel has advanced and with his motivation, professionalism and stubbornness he has become part of the service operators, which for him was a dream come true. “I had the great privilege to work with you in the past two years and to get to know you from close up,” said the commander of Bezalel, “we could all see with great satisfaction your progress and your success. You have fulfilled the same goals and challenges that you have set for yourself, and you have done your hard work, in that blessed combination of great humility, wisdom, caring, knowledge and thirst for knowledge, and all with great love for the home and the family. “We loved the shy facade of your radiant personality, full of inner beauty, . The many friends of Bezalel and Anat tell in their memorial booklet about Bezalel, the true friend, who is always willing to help and advise in his characteristic wayNoa, smiling and pleasant. Bezalel, who was a pleasant and funny conversationalist, knew how to look at things cynically. There are other stories about his appreciation of fine food, and his wife even attests to the reasons he knew to prepare in the kitchen, all of which he invented. Bezalel fell in the course of his duties on the 27th of Adar 5757 (6.3.1997) and was buried in the military cemetery in Kfar Sava. He was thirty-eight years old when he fell. He left behind a wife and two soft daughters in the years, parents and two brothers.
