Oved, Yosef

Yosef, son of Shulamit and Zechariah Oved, was born in 1964 in Kiryat Ekron. He enlisted in the IDF in 1982 and served in the air force, and at the end of compulsory service he continued to serve in the army. During his service he advanced to the rank of senior sergeant. Joseph married Tzila. The couple lived in Kiryat Ekron with their children. Yosef fell in the line of duty on 28.10.2011, after illness, at the age of forty-seven. He left a wife, two daughters and a son, a mother and a brother.
