Oved, Avraham (Avi)

Son of Sarah and Rachamim. Avraham (Avi) was born in Haifa on the 27th of Shvat, 572 (February 1952). His father, Rahamim, fell while serving in the reserves in the Tel a-Motaila incident. My father studied at “Ort Sprinzak” and “New High School”. He studied karate and had a second dan belt. In the Amishav neighborhood of Petah Tikva, he volunteered to train youth groups, and in the future he intended to work with marginalized youth. My father was a fighter, but very sensitive and kind. He always smiled and always joked. He was an avid fisherman and a pleasant socialite. In 1970 my father enlisted in the IDF and volunteered for the paratroopers.
