Son of Meir and Sabiha was born in Tiberias on March 18, 1956. After completing his studies at the Tiberias State High School, , Ovadia worked in Herut in Tiberias as a plumber. Ovadia was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of May 1974 and was assigned to serve in the engineering corps, after which he worked for a plasim course and was appointed to the Peles profession, after which Ovadia worked for Shakam for a while. He was assigned to serve in the Zlagah School, where he was stationed in the boats section. On the 14th of Kislev 5736 (November 14, 1975), Ovadia was injured during his training and fell in the line of duty, and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Tiberias. Survived by his parents. Two sisters and a brother. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “… Ovadia was a devoted soldier, identical to all his friends and commanders, and to all who admired him.” During our short acquaintance, Ovadia was discovered as a good and disciplined soldier, a friend willing to help his comrades in trouble and hardship. Quietly and with devotion. ” His parents donated a Torah scroll to his memory.
